Published prices start at $0 (CalibraCore free plan, 20 instruments), $70/month (Gaugify, 500 assets) and $99/month (GageList). LabCalibrate is also free right now, but publishes no paid tier and its terms allow fees later. GAGEtrak is quote-only on its own site — the $29 per seat/month figure for Lite is a Capterra listing, not a vendor rate card. Why is CalibraCore cheaper?
No per-seat licence
Tools like GAGEtrak and Calibration Control charge for every seat, so cost climbs each time someone joins. CalibraCore charges a flat plan fee — your bill does not change when a colleague logs in.
A real free plan, not a trial
Most vendors offer a trial that expires. Our free plan stays free for 20 instruments, with no credit card — so a small shop can run on it indefinitely.
Cloud-only, no deployment cost
On-premise options (GAGEtrak, IndySoft, Beamex) carry servers, IT time and upgrade projects. Cloud removes that hidden cost entirely.
We are newer and leaner
We do not carry decades of legacy product, hardware ecosystems or a large field-sales operation — so we can price lower. That is also the honest trade-off: the incumbents are deeper in features and history.

Why do some calibration software vendors hide their pricing?
Tools aimed at labs and large enterprises (GAGEtrak, Qualer, QT9, IndySoft, Beamex, Fluke) usually price by quote because deployments vary by site count, modules and services. Tools aimed at small and mid-size teams — CalibraCore, Gaugify, GageList — publish prices openly. When you find a number for a quote-only vendor, check whether it came from the vendor or from a directory listing; the two often disagree.
What is the cheapest calibration software?
Among vendors with a published rate card, CalibraCore is the cheapest route for most small and mid-size teams: a free-forever plan for 20 instruments, and paid plans that stay a flat monthly fee rather than a per-seat license. LabCalibrate currently charges nothing at any size, so on today's price alone it is lower — the trade-off is that it publishes no paid tier, no SLA and no company name, so what you would pay after any future change is unknown.
