No standard sets your interval — you set it and justify it. This turns the three inputs an auditor asks about into a defensible starting point.
Suggested interval: 18 months
Calibration interval set to 18 months. Starting point: manufacturer's recommendation of 12 months, extended because the recorded drift history shows it returning in tolerance every time. Criticality assessed as normal. Interval to be reviewed at the next calibration against the as-found result.
A starting point, not a rule. Only your own drift history justifies an interval — review it at every calibration.
Due date & recall calculator
The due date is the easy part. The recall dates — when someone actually has to act — are what stop an instrument expiring while still in use.

Test uncertainty ratio (TUR) calculator
Whether your reference is accurate enough for the tolerance you are checking. The calculation US defence and metrology labs are held to.

TUR is tolerance divided by the reference's expanded uncertainty. Use the uncertainty printed on the reference's own calibration certificate, not its accuracy specification — they are not the same number.
